About me
I live in LaGrange, GA and am the mother of five beautiful children, ages 12 years to 8 months. My first three babies were born in hospitals in Ohio, and my last two were born at home in the water here in Georgia, into their Daddy's hands, with the assistance of midwives.
I am certified as a Labor Doula through CAPPA and have attended both hospital and home births, in various locations and with various doctors and midwives as care providers. I also have experience with Hypnobabies, water birth, induction, cesarean birth, and VBAC.
Helping women through pregnancy, childbirth and beyond is my passion, as well as a great honor and privilege.

My job as a doula is multi-faceted:
*First, to make sure that families have the information and support they need to make decisions during the childbearing year.
*Second, to provide physical support: massage, position change, and other techniques to help labor progress smoothly.
*Third, to facilitate dad in his support of the laboring mother.
*Finally, to protect the birthing family ~ to "hold the space" around them so they feel confident and comfortable.
Every pregnant family deserves to have a doula ~ the person whose only concern is the satisfaction of the laboring mom and her partner. I am proud to be offering LaGrange doula services, as well as our surrounding areas! I am also currently studying and training to be a childbirth educator through Passion for Birth, a Lamaze accredited program.
